Odd Is Odd

I just came across this the other day. I am sure it has been written about before, but it is just too odd not to list now again.

• At the 1998 World Cup, the USA went 3 and out with only one goal scored in the three matches. The goal was scored by Brian McBride

• At the 2006 World Cup, the USA went 3 and out with only two goals scored in the three matches. One goal came via own goal versus Italy. The other goal was scored in the Ghana match. That goal was scored by Clint Dempsey

Both now find themselves at Fulham F.C.
