Dundee United's Craig Levein announced the signing of two players today. German striker Andis Shala and Northern Ireland international goalkeeper Michael McGovern have joined the Scottish Premier League side. Shala was brought in by the manager for a trial in May and Levein was so impressed by the 19-year-old striker that he decided to sign him to a three-year deal. McGovern found first-team minutes difficult to come by with Celtic, but will push starting goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska for playing time at United. He agreed to a one-year deal.
The Tannadice side adds to the ranks for 2008-2009.
