
Irish midfielder James O'Connor has switched Championship sides moving from Burnley FC to Sheffield Wednesday. He declined an offer from the Turf Moor outfit deciding instead to move via free transfer to The Owls. The 28-year-old midfielder played a key role in Burnley's season after being returned to the starting eleven for the 2007-2008 campaign. O'Connor who signed a three-year deal is Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws' first signing of the transfer season.
US international defender Frank Simek also competes for The Owls.
