Cheik Diabaté Catching Fire in Ligue 2

Cheik Diabaté, the 20-year-old Malian forward, on loan from Bordeaux is enjoying a great amount of success this season at Ligue 2 side AC Ajaccio. He has seven goals so far in 2008 and has guided the club to a 9th place standing in the table after 14 matches.

Several other young prospects are doing well in 2008-2009...

Kévin Monnet-Paquet: 20-year-old French forward who has 5 goals for RC Lens. Rumours swirled last summer with a move to England.

Paul Alo'o Efoulou: 24-year-old Cameroonian forward has several goals and several key assists this season for Angers SCO who sit 7th.

Brahim Ferradj: 21-year-old French-Algerian midfielder/defender who has a desire to represent Algeria at the international level.
