Brechin City’s Charlie King Ready to Face Saint Mirren

Technical Sessions: # 9

29-year-old striker Charlie King and his teammates have their sights set on tomorrow’s fourth-round match against Scottish Premier League side Saint Mirren. "The whole club is really looking forward to what should be a cracking cup-tie." King, who has been with the Scottish Second Division outfit since 2001, continued, "The fourth round of the Scottish Cup is always an eagerly anticipated day for players and it is great to be involved and to get the chance to play against an SPL side."

City supporters will turn out en masse at The Glebe tomorrow. King remarked, "We are hopeful that the attendance will be bigger than usual and with the game being segregated, it means that the atmosphere at the Glebe is going to be even better than normal." The striker acknowledged, "I think our players will relish that."

Win, lose, or draw. Brechin City is enjoying a successful league campaign thus far. The club sits in third place and occupies one of the coveted First Division Play-offs spots. "We have played a lot of good football this season. And while we have slipped up in the last couple of games, we have lost once in the league all season and once in a challenge cup tie in July." King concluded by noting the importance of tomorrow’s match. "So our home record is pretty good and we need to make sure we go and have a go at St Mirren and don't sit back and let them come at us."
