The 51-year-old Swiss manager signed a new deal to remain in charge of the club until 2011. Favre came to the German club in 2007 via FC Zürich. At Zürich, he captured the 2005 Swiss Cup and the 2006 and 2007 Swiss Super League titles. Hertha BSC is enjoying a tremendous league season thus far and currently sit in third-place with 33 points.
The club has a host of talented players including Serbian Gojko Kačar, Brazilian Cícero, and Andriy Voronin who is on loan from Liverpool.
