Are City a good punt for the title?

With the Barclays Premier League standings beginning to resemble the final table many expect come the end of the season, punters are starting to wonder where they can find value with regards to a bet on who will be the eventual winners of the Premier League this year.

Although Chelsea are clearly looking like a side which is going to be extremely tough to overhaul at the top of the table this season, they have also become an unappetising bet for many punters, with few bookies now offering Chelsea betting odds that will generate a high rate of return for those risking their hard earned cash. However, for those who prefer to be safe rather than sorry, Chelsea still seem to be the team to back as they continue to dominate their domestic rivals in impressive style.

Despite Chelsea's position as favourites, Manchester United are a side that only a fool would choose to write off when it comes to winning a trophy that they have already collected a record amount of times, especially given the added joy that would result from winning a record 19th domestic top flight title, eclipsing the record 18 titles that they and bitter rivals Liverpool currently boast. With this in mind, the only thing that may worry punters is that bookies are no fools and are not currently offering fantastic odds on United winning the title this year.

However, there is one side that bookies are still offering fantastic odds for, and that's why so many people are making Manchester City betting tips this season. With City keeping up with the big boys in the league, and having already beaten league leaders Chelsea this season, punters may well find that the best bet when it comes to the Premier League crown this season is to back the blue half of Manchester for glory.
