U.K. media outlets including Mail Online report that Liverpool have joined the race to land 24-year-old Valter Birsa of AJ Auxerre.

Just recently the Slovenian international midfielder scored vs. Ajax in 2010-11 UEFA Champions League action.

EPL clubs Blackpool and Wigan are also targeting the midfielder.
