Riise to join US Women's staff
Hege Riise, coach of Norwegian women's club Team Stroemmen, is leaving the club to join the staff of the US Women's national team. She will be an assistant to head coach Pia Sundhage.
Riise was an elite player for Norway through 2005 and has now found success as a coach. Her club is one of the top squads in the Norwegian league.
The 39-year-old played in 188 international matches.
